Sous Chef

Are you a culinary professional with a creative flair and a passion for excellence? Smoke & Spice Catering is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to execute culinary concepts, develop new menu items, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing.
  • Oversee food preparation and production to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of culinary execution.
  • Manage inventory and ordering to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume catering or restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Creativity and passion for food innovation.
  • ServSafe or similar certification is a plus.

Service Staff

As a member of our service staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional hospitality to our clients and their guests. If you have a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for hospitality, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and break down event spaces according to specifications.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and provide friendly and attentive service throughout the event.
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any inquiries or requests.
  • Assist with event cleanup and ensure that the venue is left clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • TIPS or similar certification is a plus.

Catering Sales Rep

Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for sales and a love for food? Smoke & Spice Catering is seeking a motivated Catering Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and ensuring the success of our catering events. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong sales background, and a flair for customer service, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and secure new catering clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and create customized catering proposals.
  • Coordinate event details with clients, including menu selection, venue logistics, and rental equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the catering process, from initial inquiry to event execution.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets to drive revenue growth for the company.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in the hospitality or catering industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
